'sink' the opponents fleet.
How to Play Battleships Game
This is a perfect fun roadtrip game for a family vacation!
The instructions on how to play Battleships Game are as follows.
Battleships is a two player strategy game which is great fun for all
ages. This game can be played when travelling, you just need a
pencil and lots of copies of the grid provided as you will want to
play more than once! Just print off the grid below and draw your
fleet on it (See Example).
The Fleet
Your fleet should consist of:
1 x Aircraft Carrier – Any five squares in a straight line
1 x Battleship – Any four diagonal squares.
2 x Cruisers – Each one should be three squares in a straight line.
3 x Destroyers – Each one should be two squares in a straight line.
4 x Submarines – Each one should be a single square.
No ship should share a square with any part of another ship.
Once both players have drawn their fleets (making sure to keep it
hidden from the other player) they take turn to attack each others
fleet by calling out a numbered square e.g. B5.
The opponent calls out ‘Miss’ if the square is empty. If the square
contains part of the fleet then they call out ‘Hit’. The winner is
the first player to sink all of their opponent’s fleet.
