The rows and columns of Sudoku
puzzles make up 9 mini grids which are shown by a thick border

Every row, every column and every
mini grid of a completed puzzle contain nine different numbers
(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9) which are not repeated

To solve Sudoku puzzles all of
the empty cells need to be completed

Every row of 9 numbers must
include all digits 1 through 9 in any order

Every column of 9 numbers must
include all digits 1 through 9 in any order

Every 3 by 3 mini grid of the 9
by 9 square must include all digits 1 through 9
